SELF-STUDY GUIDE Every school pursuing accreditation enters a stage of self-study. This is an internal evaluation designed to help teachers and administrators see their school from a fresh and unbiased perspective. It also serves as an evaluation tool for determining an institution’s qualifications and/or compliance with NAPCU standards.
The self-study report provides the institution with the opportunity to engage in a comprehensive analysis of all aspects of its operation. This essentially forms the basis for the improvement of the educational effectiveness of the institution. In recognizing the uniqueness of every school’s mission and educational environment, there is no required format for the report. However, it is advisable to respond to all of the questions asked. If it is found that the school is not in compliance with a standard, the inadequacy should not be ignored. The area in question should be discussed in the self-study report describing any plans to correct the deficiency or explaining in what way the institution should be considered exempt from conformation.
For your convenience, you may answer each section in the order given, with each question being reproduced in bold/italics and answers provided below. The final report may be submitted either by email in Word format or as a printed document sent to our main office. Brochures, syllabuses, student handbooks, and other relevant school documents can be added to the end of the report. They may be added to the end of the report or sent as a separate file to our email address. They may also be mailed separately to our main office with a cover letter or with the printed report.
